My friend and I went there today. We ordered a spicy beef soup and a ginseng chicken soup. Although the ginseng chicken is a bit overpriced, it tastes pretty good. However, the spicy beef soup is quite disappointing. It only has 2 small slices of beef which can be barely found and the soup itself is quite disappointing. Everything was fine until we saw a cockroach passed by our table. We saw another one on the wall later. My friend and I are not picky, but we don't enjoy eating with cockroaches for sure. I don't know whether the waitress didn't see cockroaches or she just get used to seeing cockroaches around in the restaurant.Nevertheless, what disappointed us most was the attitude of the owner. While we were still eating, the owner came up and told us that the restaurant is going to close. We tried to finish our dinner as quick as we can. However, within 2 mins, the owner came up again. He used a rude and impatient tone to tell us that the restaurant is closed and we have to leave. We came in for less than 1 hour. If the restaurant is closing soon why doesn't he tell us in the first place? How can he assume that we can order and finish the meal in 30 mins? My friend and I just want to sit down and have a nice dinner on a Friday night, not rushing it in 30mins.If you enjoy eating with cockroaches and being given a bad attitude, I will highly recommend this restaurant to you.
Our experience here was some time back, but I'd thought it make a mention that if you have a craving for Korean BBQ but don't want your clothes to smell or are too lazy to DIY, these guys are willing to do it on a hot plate then bring it out. Taste to the meat was not lost, if anything we loved it. Waitress wasn't too verse in English but extremely accommodating to us as I believe most of their clientele are ethnic Koreans. I'd come here if I wanted to switch up between Jong Ga Jip.
the food is nice with decent price if compare to other restaurants in Eastwood. However, we couldn't stand the service. Both owner & staffs are very rude & arrogant
Eastwood is one of the best places to get your Korean fix, whether its BBQ, bibimbap or hotpots.
