I had lunch the day early in the little brother mBistro NERUA because Monday was closed. The service was good but the food is not for the level expected. After read the reviews, I think no many people eat in a one or two Michelin star restaurant , therefore I think they are not very trustworthy, my opinion: The plates are missing a punch of flavor as expected. The tomatoes dish is a joke. The fish with reduction of olives is missing quality and quantity. The “mini bocadillo” is a plate with a “earthy” taste done by seeds that remember you eating sand from not well clean mushrooms. The tuna was “Ok la”. The anchovies very basic, and the next meat and dish plates just nothing special. I even introduce one plate more in the menu but quantity were ridiculous. 240 EUR bill and a big disappointment. I wish the chef read this because I gave some comments to the waitress about it but I think chef is somehow in a dream of a concept is not even close to the reality. Service perfect, very slow peace, food disappointing, quantity disappointing and price as expected. A BIG NO for this place…find other one

Many commenters complain that the food is too ordinary for a Michelin star restaurant, but I thought it was fine it was a typical 1 star level of cooking. I really liked the anchovy dish. It is also great to see a non alcoholic drink pairing, though it was in fact rather monotone (all sweet juices). A few suggestions: 1. Why use a ton of power to have the AC set to minus infinity? We were lucky to have sweaters and still left almost hypothermic. 2. Replace the creaky chairs I understand the need to have some funky or distinctive features but this idea is a miss... 3. The waiters should refill guests' water more attentively, and once forgot to serve the pairing drink with the meal.

Seriously over rated. It’s a really good price point for a Michelin starred restaurant that’s listed in the worlds top 50 (2019), but unfortunately, it stops there. Service is average, waiters are genuinely friendly, but lack experience, which questions the star. The food, their signature tomato dish where they ask you to guess the different ingredients… ummm… it taste the same. Listen, the food was okay, but not amazing, so I have little idea what the other reviewers are thinking when they give this place 5 stars. Yeah yeah, I know everyone have different palates and taste buds, but I don’t really care.

Nerua was very good. The staff took good care and we got a welcome and talk in the kitchen. Food and wines were great. One thing that was slightly less good was the end. It took a long while for them to see we needed the bill and only the kitchen staff said goodbye.
