Full disclaimer, I like seafood, but it 's not is not my favorite type of food, so that 's my bias going in to this recommendation. However, my philosophy on restaurants is when in Rome, eat Italian food. So, in Florianopolis I had to try the Shrimp Sequence. To start off, the restaurant sits across the street from the beautiful Lagoa da Conceição and has a wonderful view of the lagoon and looks like one if the nicer restaurants on the street. The menu gives a short history of how the Sequencia de Camarões came to be a local custom, so I decided to ask about it. The price listed was R$130, which is quite expensive, but what 's not said on the menu is that it serves 2. They will serve the same meal for one at a much more reasonable price. Since it is the prato típico of the area, I decided to try it. The first course was fried shrimp and oysters, which were both very good. The second course consisted of two type of shrimp, but I tend to like my shrimp peeled and deveined first. It was good, but I ended up with really messy fingers afterward and went through a stack of napkins before I felt clean again. Final course was fried fish, fries and rice: fish was fine, but not great, fries were what you expect fries to be, but the rice was a bit undercooked. Overall, the food was good, although a bit overpriced, service was excellent, and the view amazing. I just can 't rate any higher after having peeled two dozen shrimp by hand at a nice restaurant.
