Old Wild West Muralto

This place literally saved my life....well perhaps that's an overstatement but after a week in Italy and all the pasta, we were hankerin' for something a little more familiar and found this place near the ol' train station and popped in for lunch.The first thing you notice is how hard the are trying with the Wild West theme and it makes for some interesting and inadvertent faux pas like the sign that says "Indian peoples" or the fenced off section of tables with a sign above reading "the saloon" both are in English.Despite all the American cues and geography being Switzerland, everything else is Italian including menu and servers. Nonetheless it was pretty easy to decipher with the pictures and mostly familiar looking words like "iceberg lettuce" and "catsup."I ordered the Navajo burger (essentially a cheese burger with lettuce and something like McD' "special sauce") while my wife chose the American burger (their take on a bacon cheese burger except they don't really have American bacon and the strips were not even close to crispy) and each came with thin crispy perfectly cooked French fries. The burgers came out fairly quickly with what tasted and looked like grilled patties and buns. They even asked how we wanted the burgers prepared. The burgers had good flavor and were probably 1/4 or 1/3 lb sized so plenty for lunch.While not the very best burger I've ever had, it was certainly the best one I've had in the past week. My only complaint was the price ChF56 for lunch was a bit much, but a small price to pay for a taste of home.

sono stato nuovamente nel "vecchio West" di Muralto e le mie aspettative sono state ampiamente soddisfatte. Ho mangiato uno swiss burger "modificato" con aggiunta roesti e uovo. Il mio amico invece ha preso uno swiss burger triplo. Il personale gentilissimo è disponibile è riuscito a soddisfare tutte le nostre folli richieste e ci hanno spiegato che gli hamburger sono fatti con carne macinata fresca di prima scelta 100% Svizzera acquistata giornalmente dall'azienda Terrani di Sorengo, per questo motivo i prezzi sono un po' più alti rispetto alla media. Personalmente pago volentieri qualche franco in più per avere questo tipo di qualità e la possibilità di poter aggiungere e modificare i miei piatti in questo modo. Cosa che negli altri ristoranti ti manderebbe a quel paese. Tornerò appena smaltita la bomba calorica.

Accueil sympa mais le burger "medium" a point était archi cuit, le pain les pommes de terre, cela n'était pas Bon non plus, tres déçue après les bons commentaires en ligne.Près de 25€ le plat quand même.. ca ne les vaut pas.. Terrasse au bord de route, donc bruyante.On peut vraiment mieux à trouver à locarno.

- sehr freundliche und schnelle Bedienung- Rindsfilet war hervorragend- Burger eher standard aber ok- Fajita war lecker, Salatbeilage war too much und nicht sehr frisch- Einrichtung sehr cool und Familienfreundlich im allgemeinen

Qualità delle carni ottima, piatti ben serviti, buona scelta di bevande. per chi come noi non è abituato, l'aria condizionata troppo spinta. servizio eccellente e rapido, buona anche la posizione, locale molto curato.
