Oliva Panaderia & Pasteleria

Oliva has a thoughtful small café menu and beautiful baked goods and whole cakes. Mainly French-inspired it seems. It is a very pretty bakery/café, with enthusiastic staff. Carpaccio de pulpo was fresh; the pulpo didn’t have much flavour however. The ensalada de pera y queso azul was also fresh, but the tiny pieces of pear had little taste. I also bought 5 croissants, 2 tartlets and 2 pastries as I left. The service charge/tip, suggested and voluntary, which I paid, was 10% of the total. Table service with a suggested service charge/tip is understandable, but not when buying items to take home. As I was selecting my baking and paying, a woman behind me interrupted my transaction at least 5 times with questions for the employee, and ended up after all that buying 1 bun before she allowed me to finish my transaction. Staff should be better trained and supervised in order to suggest an appropriate service charge/tip that does not include baked goods from the case that are take-home items, and to serve customers in the proper order. Pushy rude customers should be asked to wait their turn.

I'm a worker in an aviation industry and I'm all over the world. This place has the best 3 leches around the world. My partner like the Pollo ao Horno with vegetables. I like almost everything. Oliva share the kitchen with a very classy restaurant Marmi share it menu as well as attention to the entire crew at oliva very attentive and pleasure to serve you. We have our favorite waiter Camilo mr fitness he knows about this joke we ask for bread and say bread fitness lol. During our visit to Santa Marta we stay at our place in Pozos Colorados, and yes we take a taxi for 20 minutes to enjoy this delicious place. Also the decoration is amazingly sweet .

Me vendieron una porcion de Red-Velvet. Que como pueden ver es realmente media. Es muy rica, pero cobrar diez mil pesos por esto es una exageracion. No conozco algo que moleste mas al cliente que sentirse estafado. I bought a portion of Red-Velvet. As seen in the picture it was really half a portion. It is delicious, but to charge about US$3 for this (in Colombia) is an exageration. I can't think on anything that upsets more a customer than to feel robbed.

I walk to this delightful place with friends. We have tea and pastries and love it. They use real tea cups and tea pots. A very nice seating area with state of the art tables and chairs. While you're there, you can feel as if you're in London or France. It's heavenly!

I had the best chocolate croissant in Colombia. And the best cappuccino in Santa Marta. The daily baked breads are my addiction too. I am so happy to find this oasis, after being struggling with no options at the neighborhood.
