Online: reservations recommended. 'Sample menu ' online only. Restaurant is beautiful. Fabric napkins etc. Sign said to wait to be seated. Server comes up and says we can sit wherever we want. Okay, but you look fancy enough that I should be shown to my table. That was annoying, it felt like the server didn 't want to be bothered. After given time to look at the menus, we order drinks. Now, there are not a lot of food choices in Yachats. And what the server didn 't know is, we personally have a number of dietary food restrictions, and we usually find ways to deal with this and not make a big deal out of it. Plenty of seafood options, and a couple beef options, no chicken or poultry of any kind, listed anywhere. So we decided to order an appetizer and each a half salad, which is a menu option listed. Was informed that an ingredient was missing for my drink, would I like another? Yes, but menu was needed again, and provided. That was literally the last time we heard from the server until our food arrived. Another table of 4 people had come in that were waited on hand and foot. Server walked directly over to them every time she came into the dining room. I informed my spouse that if our food came before my replacement drink order was taken, I was skipping it. This happened. Server never asked again, it was like she totally forgot I had even ordered anything and she had offered a replacement. My Caesar salad was way over dressed. Way too much dressing and drowning in cheese. Spouse 's salad was fine. And the dining room was mostly empty this whole time. Less than a dozen people, counting us, the whole time we were there. We ordered a dessert to go. One drink, one bread appetizer, 2 HALF salads, and a dessert, was $85. And we hardly got any service. Oh, also, there is a local food and beverage tax of 5%, and an automatic gratuity of 20% already added to the bill. You are charged 25% on top of your bill, no matter what. Spouse was so irritated, it was such a disappointing experience. If you are going to charge a customer a 20% gratuity, your staff better make sure that everyone is treated well. No matter the size of the bill. Because that server did NOT provide a 20% experience that night. Drove all the way to Florence the next day. Way more options. And many four star+ options.
Me and my wife stopped by for a late lunch through town and was not disappointed on quality of food . I had the Dungeness crab cake (i felt $22. Was to much for 1 small crab cake my wife had the Ona burger lunch which she very much enjoyed. If in area again would stop and try a few other items on their menu. Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch

I visit this place specifically for the unique taffy crisp pudding, which is one of a kind. Additionally, Nancy provides excellent service. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
