Osteria Del Gin

I went to this place on a very hot summer's day for dinner and it was so nice to sit in the tree shaded garden on massive stone tables right next to a vineyard. Very romantic , very cozy. As we were not that hungry (too hot) we asked if we could share a starter as well as the main - this was happily agreed to by the very friendly waitress and we even got the meals served on separate plates! The bred that was served with the drinks was the best tasting white bred I had in ages - very yummy. The main - pasta with muscles- was excellent too. Best pasta I had in a very long time. The mixed salad was good, the dessert was alright only. But overall a very pleasant experience. I would definitely go back next time I will be visiting Maggia.

Tucked away in a quiet part of small Maggia village, this restaurant has an outdoor seating area next to vineyards and under shady trees. A lovely spot for dinner on a warm summer night. The food was delicious, freshly made and available with reasonably priced wine. Service was mixed depending on the service, and better to speak either German or Italian here. Would recommend for a romantic dinner, or just somewhere with friends and family in a lovely garden environment.

Der Salat war faul, die Teller kalt und die Gnochisause aus dem Glas. Zu den akzeptablen Plätzchen gab es 6 halbe Kartoffeln. Tja leider seit dem Pächterwechsel nicht mehr zu empfehlen.

wir waren mit 18 Personen im Lokal, hervorragende und sehr freundliche Bedienung, tessiner Küche war wunderbar, stilvolles Ambiente, wir kommen wieder

Freundliche Atmosphäre und sehr hilfsbereites Personal. Die Terasse ist sehr heimelig. Leider ein teures Dessert aus dem Tiefkühler.
