Osteria la Toscana

We chose Osteria La Toscana because we had eaten there before and it was near the theatre where we watched the Nutcracker Ballet. We made a reservation, let me repeat, we made a reservation for 1930. When we were there, our reserved table was not ready. But we waited 20 minutes until they sit down. The restaurant was not full at the time when we sat, so our waitress came quite fast to order our drinks and dinners. Several tables were sitting around us after we came in, their orders were taken and filled before our drinks order and appetizer was. We saw the same articles we ordered to be served at tables that sat after us. Several of these tables were served and paid before our order was placed on our table. Our order was placed on our table 90 minutes after ordering. When we looked around, there were several other tables that came at the same time (we know that because they were on the same show and knew them personally). They were also not served while other tables were. It is difficult not to conclude that all these German-speaking Americans were put aside and not served before the others. As for the food, I ordered the lasagna. Soup came without formation of lasagna at all. I could only eat half of it because it was so bad. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant. I don't appreciate being set aside while others who came to us are served first with similar orders.

Very nice restaurant with very good food and service. Only slight downside (which we found was more to do with Germany than particular to this restaurant) is that even outside so many people smoke which can detract from one's enjoyment.

Grabbed a late dinner and was not disappointed. Had leftovers for the week! Delicious salad and lasagna bolognese. Pizza looked yummy as well. Hope to return next time we are in town.

My family and I love this place. We will definitely be back. I can’t believe my kids found something they would not stop talking about.

Staff was super nice. The food was ready in no time, and tasted amazing. Always love going there for a date or family date night.
