Just a few observations for this particular outback. I was in a lot of different outback steakhouse?s so I feel that I can make a fair comparison with others. Every time I go into this outback, there is always a table outside the bar filled with socialization staff, eating rolling silverware. This recent visit, which was time for dinner, had six employees sitting and eating while rolling silverware. My problem with this is the optics and unanimity of eating and talking fingerfoods while rolling silverware for customers. You cannot apologize for slow service, again when six employees sit on a table and not all of them roll silver goods. I know everyone wants to tell Covid that they can't get good help, but I think it starts with the administration. My other question with my last visit was a manager who wore a baseball cap, shorts and a T-shirt I never knew was connected to Outback restaurant until he went behind the bar to train a potential new server on the beverage menu. Now it can only be me because the older I see the younger everyone, but this particular trainee looked very young and in my eyes not old enough to drink and I found it disturbing when this same manager gave the trainee a sample of a drink on the menu. Again only I, but I feel that optics are much to be superior when you are in a management position. I spoke my concerns to someone I thought was another manager, but very good would have been just a host. After his answer or his absence, he was not very concerned. The optics makes it seem as if the priority is more of a fun place to work instead of eating a great place!
