Owen's Ordinary

We’ve been to Owen’s several times and it’s truly one of our favorite neighborhood restaurants. The staff is great. They are attentive and care about providing excellent customer service. We prefer to sit in the bar area and enjoy the atmosphere. The servers and sports channels make it a fun place to enjoy a meal and/or a few drinks. The food is delicious and is mostly locally sourced. We’ve enjoyed everything we’ve tried from the menu, and we liked one of their signature cocktails (the Austin Mule) so much we’ve been working on replicating it ourselves. I have a gluten sensitivity, so I’m not able to indulge in their a extensive beer selection, but my husband has tried several of them and appreciates the great selection. I highly recommend Owen’s Ordinary! If you check it out, you won’t be disappointed.

I love this place! So excited to see a really great bar in this neighborhood. Before Owen's Ordinary you would have needed to go into DC for a place like this. Everything about this place is amazing food, service, ambiance, and of course, THE BEER which Greg Engert is known for. So nice to see that they were able to work successfully with the County to get in great beer. The food is wonderful too we had a Little Gem salad as an appetizer, classic fondue and the sausage burger for our main course. Everything was delicious but I have to say that salad stole the show. I cannot rave about it enough it was just romaine, radish, smoked egg vinaigrette, and anchovy dust I would die happy if this was the only salad I ate for the rest of my life.

Warning: The staff has a sense of humor and they're not afraid to use it! They also have a great knowledge of their menu and craft beer selection. We both had fish chips... delicious fries in an interesting metal cup, and fish that lacked any sogginess left in the batter. Bravo. The service was impeccable; attentive and friendly without making you feel as though the server was moving in. The prices are reasonable. The atmosphere includes a bar that looks perfect for debating sports, politics, or religion. The dining room is the classic ordinary with style and grace, without being overdone. We'll be back.

Well put together/designed restaurant with amazing beer selection and attentive service. The manager, Jeremiah, took his time to explain the concept of the restaurant and the menu, which was very helpful! We had couple of late night selections and they were great! I have had calamari through out Europe and in American restaurants, as it is my favorite appetizer... at Owen's Ordinary calamari was one of the best I have ever had. So, thank you and we will be back....often! PS try their craft drinks also, the one with tea in it was amazing (sorry for not remembering the name!

Fish tacos, burger, appetizer .........atmosphere and everything is so on point !!!!! Service is great !!! Will be back !!!!!!!!
