I found this small restaurant by chance, and was greeted by the owner very warmly. Since my husband wasn't with me, they brought me a huge teddy bear as a table companion which was such a fun and friendly touch!! There were lots of traditional dishes to choose from, and I chose the haddock served on mashed potatoes. It was a divine dish, the mashed potatoes cooked perfectly with a delicious butter taste. My waiter was very pleasant and professional, and the owner came to speak to all the guests at the different tables. He recommended his homemade strawberry sorbet which he combined for me with meringue. It was just unbelievable. Such warm, intimate restaurants which take pride in serving delicious homemade food are rare. The name of this restaurant does perfect justice to the dedication of the owner to his place. Bravo!
We booked a table for 6 persons. At the arrival a non capable grumpy waister told us that she did not received a reservation for 6 person. Our name was in the system and our reservation for 6persin was in there system She also told that she cannot confirm reservations for non French people. There was a table for 6 prepared, but the grumpy waitster becomes angry. We left and never comes back! Inside the restaurant there was a strange smell like rotten food
No ordinary Lunch from the moment we entered to leaving the charm and food exceeded all expectations. A warm welcome from the wonderful staff who made our day providing a very high standard of service with a friendly approach. The food was superb and delicious and interaction with the chef showed the passion for cooking fine food and making the whole meal so special at a personal level.
A wonderful restaurant, small and personal. A great menue card with regional and quality food. The Saint Jaques à la coque was my personal favorite. We enjoyed the warm welcome and service from the chiefs, the choice of Bio wine and the Baba Rum XXL dessert enough for 2 people :
