I was looking forward to trying this place as the owners also own an excellent bagel store as well as Marvis Diner which is great. However, I was disappointed with my order and probably won't go back again. I ordered Mussels Posilipo for $15. The sauce was delicious and the mussels tasted good but out of the measly 11 mussels included in this dish 2 of them were not even opened so I had to discard them. So I had 9 mussels for $15 with a small piece of bread. I also ordered eggplant parmigiana for $26. The portion was very small with just a slice of eggplant on top of what tasted like generic boxed pasta. At this price and with a name like Pasta Pesto I would expect homemade pasta or a bronze cut quality pasta at the very least. The salad was swimming in dressing and soggy. The bread was decent and the homemade herbed butter was tasty. Overall the taste was good but I would expect bigger portions and better quality for the price.
My daughter and her friend and I were in town for a basketball tournament at the Convention Center. Pasta Pesto was recommended to me by a good friend. We had fettuccine Alfredo and spaghetti amatriciana. The portions were huge-the 3 of us could easily shared one of the pasta dishes. They came with huge side salads or soup-both were very good, as was the fresh bread and homemade pesto served along side of it. I only wish we could have saved some room for a dessert!!
Restaurant is beautiful inside. Staff is friendly and they bring a homey feel to the business. The pesto sauce that is served with the bread is to die for. Definitely order the garlic bread appetizer and dip it in the pesto. The salad was seasoned perfectly with lots of cheese, my favorite! Both pasta dishes were tasty but felt like they were missing something. Overall great experience!
Lovely place! The soup and the bread with pesto it's just phenomenal. The main dish was fetuccini buratta and I loved it. My server Raluca was really sweet and gave really good recommendations. The place it's so nice and quiet it really gives an italian vibe. Definitely coming back!!!
