Pavillon Babette's Sandwiches

Babette’s is easy to find along the Vevey promenade/Quai—head east past the giant Fork/Fourchette and look for a shiny Airstream camper with the awning up! For a tiny Airstream it’s loaded with options ranging from cappuccinos and frappés (choose your ice cream flavor) to sodas...and sandwiches. A couple huge canvas umbrellas provide shade over tables and chairs or simply sit along the concrete edge around the lake. Order inside or outside under the awning. Service is friendly, views are stunning and the location is right by a green grassy park.

Wandering in Vevey and sightseeing, wanted nothing more than a tomato/pesto/mozzarella panini and voila, there was Babette's on the waterfront! SO GOOD, excellent service, terrific food, great prices, and the whole waterfront to choose for a place to sit and enjoy. Could not have been...a better find on a hot afternoon in Vevey. There's also a sit down restaurant in town, haven't been but I'd recommend it just based on our experience here.

Here is a place to get a quick imbiss or snack sandwich while running or walking along the Quay du Leman. Average prices for sandwiches or paninis and of course non-alcoholic drinks.

Got here wonderful, freshly prepared Panini ... and delicious Crepes as dessert ! Lovely personal, fresh ingredients it is really a nice place ... just next to the lake !
