Only restaurant inside 285, with prices under $30/person, that you can go and not see any people of color. There was a 20-30 minute wait. The manager came to everyone but us to ask if they wanted a drink while waiting. Waited 15 minutes and 8 seconds to be acknowledged by someone after being seated. Took another 10 minutes for the waiter to bring water. So we 're here nearly an hour before we even get water. Granted they were busy, but everyone else seemed to be getting waited on. Soup of the day was lamb stew. You could get it as a side or friggin soup of the day, which is what I wanted. The waiter with the ponytail down to his but did that thing where they push you to get the cheaper order because they don 't think blacks have any money, what good waiter does that in an inexpensive restaurant unless there was some bias involved. Now, I know what ya 'll Vista Grove, 10% Republicans of DeKalb are saying at this point, but I go there all the time with no problems. You don 't look like me. It took another 20 minutes to get our order. My husband ordered the lamb stew as well. Well he never got his and mine came with the meal instead of before the meal. It was ground lamb (I guess), with a few bits of cabbage. That 's soup, not stew. Trout sandwich didn 't have much trout. The pasta pappardelle with house sausage and coconut curry was the only reason they didn 't get a 1-star. Crowd seemed to pretty much know one another so it is a neighborhood restaurant, most likely lower level CDC and Emory employees. But ya 'll don 't have to worry I stick to downtown Decatur, my neighborhood, though I will say their kids are better behaved than the Decaturites, lol. We were there for nearly 3 hours and would have left, but kept hoping it would get better. Worse experience in a restaurant in a long time. I 've had better service in a restaurant in Buford, ga in Forsyth County.
