The experience at the restaurant was fine, but the cost is becoming excessive. My wife and I went for breakfast, with me using a coupon for a free meal and my wife opting for a senior meal. We both had coffee, and the total bill came to over $17 before tip. This included one senior meal, two coffees (priced at over $3 each), and tax. This is far too expensive for us, as we are on a fixed income. The price of coffee at Perkins is unreasonably high for a restaurant of its caliber. We will be reducing our visits to Perkins in the future, as much as we enjoy it, paying $17 for one senior meal and two coffees is simply too much.
I recently visited the Perkins Restaurant on Lehigh Street in Allentown, PA and it exceeded my expectations. Out of all the Perkins Restaurants I have been to, this one stands out as the best. I have tried a variety of dishes on the menu and have never been disappointed. The atmosphere and the staff are always upbeat and friendly. I visited this restaurant to have only 2 slices of cake and ended up waiting for half an hour. The manager was impolite and even threw the phone and took it off the hook. She was yelling in the kitchen at the cook. Her name is Jennifer and she works at the Allentown restaurant on Lehigh Street. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
Was prmptly attended taken to a very clean booth, our order was taken quickly, food served was warm and delicious. Must add that even though they were short in staff had one person taking all the order.She was a very polite and sweet hard working young lady... 5 stars well deserved..Thank you.
