First visit to Persimmon. Food was tasty. We had the halibut special and the short ribs. Menu had a lot of variety. We opted to sit outside since the weather was beautiful. The outdoor tables are right on Wisconsin Avenue with a lot of traffic and associated noise. Also, there weren't many folks sitting outside and that seemed to contribute to slightly delayed service. We'll definitely go again but opt for indoor seating.
Great experience! Did not expect such delicious food despite having read quite a lot of the reviews. The scallops I had for main just melted in my mouth; they were that tasty. For dessert I had a sort of apple crumble; again on point. The host was very friendly, chatty if you wanted him to be and helpful. The other staff members kept filling up our water glasses and were very accommodating.
The restaurant didn't have AC broke down a couple of days ago) on 85 degree days. We snatched an outside table and got yelled by the waiting staff because we were intended for indoor steam seats. No thanks. Food was not fresh, oyster is tasteless and tuna must have been there for a while. What an awful place
