Met a dear friend for dinner who made the reservation. I arrive a few minutes early and I was taken to a table next to a large crowd with also small children. The noise level would not have permitted my friend and I to have a normal conversation. I couldn't comprehend why a table of two would be placed next to a large group. Thankfully I was moved to another part in the area with long tables (not as fancy). I asked the waitress for a recommendation and she suggested the Schnitzel. It looks very large but it is battered to a very thin piece of meet. Sadly, the batter is tasteless and so the meal unmemorable. The mixed salad is always a good choice. I have eaten three times in a row there and I am continuing to be disappointed about the lack of flavor. I really wonder if the chef and owner have been tasting their food and if so, do they have any taste buds. I am not trying to be rude. The waitress was very attentive and kind to allow my friend and I to catch up until closing.
The staff is very friendly, the service is not long, but the food is worse than some bad canteen food: very very oily, lack of taste but still fat. The terasse is nice but the invasion of many many flies makes it a real challenge to eat out there. My advice to the management is to 'invest ' in flies traps it should be possible to eat in the countryside without a flies invasion. We were not the only guests 'fighting ' the flies. While the service is fine, the food is so bad, it felt I wasted my time/money. I will not go back.
This is worth a stop if you are walking or biking. It lovely big terrace with lots of seating. Decent service we were only there for coffee Loads of parking, so you can out the car there, go for a walk and grab a bite. I'd think to reserve if you wanted lunch,
The menu here varies from day to day but is always good and is good value.the view and service is awesome.we ate outside in the sun and our waitress was great and cheerful. good parking and the interior stube beautiful.typical of all zurich landhaus
