We arrived around 12:30 on a Thursday and found the place to be packed although we only had to wait around 5 minutes for a table. Lots of choice on the menu. My husband had the lunch special "F" as he likes won ton soup. We made our selections rather quickly and did not notice the distinction between the spring roll (which is fried) and the fresh roll. My husband thought he was getting the fresh roll and did not enjoy the fried roll. It was made with a batter that was quite greasy and not the flaky crispy wraps we prefer. His won ton soup was salty and the won ton filling not very flavourful. There were also noodles in the won ton soup which is not how he likes his won ton soup. A third family member ordered the vegetable noodle soup with very large chunks of broccoli, cauliflower, carrot and green pepper, and it was also very salty, even more so than the won ton soup. The coffee was too sweet for my husband's taste (it is prepared as a double double apparently) and was served in a cardboard cup at our table. I ordered B1 - the vermicelli dish with beef and pork. The sauce did not have much flavour. There was quite a bit of fat on both the beef and pork slices that I trimmed off. The shrimp paste was a pale orange gelatinous blob wrapped around a piece of sugar cane. It looked greasy and quite unappetizing. I was not even tempted to try it. The service was quite prompt considering how busy it was. When I paid and mentioned the saltiness of both soups I was informed that their soup is the least salty compared to similar restaurants in the area. The gentleman at the counter was helpful and I appreciated that he took the time to listen to my comments. For a good bowl of Pho we much preferred Pho Ao Sen in Mississauga.

There are enough Vietnamese restaurants in and around GTA area and the exterior of Pho Metro probably won't draw a lot of visual attention However, I'm very glad that I came here via a chef blog's recommendation. The menu itself should cover your typical Vietnamese pho expectation along with some Pad Thai and curry options. I came here for Pho specifically so I ordered from one of their very competitive lunch menu option where you can get a medium beef noodle soup of your choice, a spring roll plus an non-alcoholic drink for $12. The drink itself is not limited to 0.25-a-can drinks but also including their other wide selection such as mango smoothie and coconut juice which I got. Refreshing and has coconut meat in a take out cup. THoughtful. The Rare Beef noodle soup (P2) comes in a clear broth with noodles that are just the right bite. The side condiments such as bean sprouts, basil leaves and others are surprisingly fresh which a great surprise. I will say all the ingredients are fresh in general and put together with care. I have seen places where quantity took over and just chunks of fat floating around. I personally would prefer the broth to have more flavor to it but no complains. Noodles and protein ratio is a little off but the Medium size will have no problem filling the tummy and feel very satisfied. One of the waitress will have trouble communicating in English but you won't have that problem if you can write all the orders on the provided paper.Definitely will come back again when in the neighbourhood.

The authentic taste of the Pho was outstanding. The portions are massive and the price point is quite low compared to other Pho in GTA. Only issue we had was the beef was overcooked a little. Classic thin noodles with surprongly good beef balls and beef tripe. 9/10, would definitely recommend to a pal who loves the Pho Dac Biet.

Although their prices are slightly higher than most other Vietnamese restaurant, I know we will return since they do deliver what is expected of a V. restaurant. Their spring rolls are a must-have for each visit. Get the large order for two people, since the rolls are not very big.
