Me and two of my friends were yesterday at Piccolo Mondo. We enjoyed our dinners, the food was good and the wines as well. I liked my Pizza speciale, but I always compare this Pizza with the Pizza which was the best for me, and...so far, I could not find it close to that anywhere else. But yes, the food is good. My friends had Pasta (which was homemade) and salad, and both were good. Improvements could be done in the service. The staff there is very friendly, but it took a while until we got the second drink, even so the waiter passed by several times to other tables. Well, to be fair, maybe because they had also two bigger groups at this night. But all in in all, you can have a nice dinner there.
I was in July at Piccolo Mondo with friends and we really appreciate the restaurant! The lady who owns the place with her son is very friendly, service is friendly and without stress. The food was simply amazing, delicious! Far beyond what other... restaurants do. From the appetizer to the dessert, we smudged the dishes. The atmosphere was quiet and the decor of two vaulted rooms is simple, but also pleasant. Prices are fair and really affordable for such quality. I recommend Piccolo Mondo and hope to come back when I return to Heidelberg.
I have been traveling to Heidelberg about once a year since 1997, but it wasn't until 6 years ago that a colleague introduced me to this wonderful little Italian restaurant a short walk from the altstadt haupstrasse. Since then no trip is complete without at...least one meal there. Everything is wonderful, the pasta is perfect, and I always find myself ending the meal with their profiteroles. Do not miss any opportunity to dine here (however it is closed Mondays).
We were staying in Heidelberg for a long weekend and of the 6 meals we had, this was head-and-shoulders above the rest! Simple, fresh Italian cooking at it's best, with attentive service and great wine. This is a family-owned establishment and it shows in the...pride they take in theie restaurant. Well done to all concerned.
