Pilot Travel Center

I spoke to 3 different employees barely. The main black female manager on early morning Sunday was the most tolerable to guest. Before that interaction I was waken up at 5:30am in a regular parking space and told to move which is no problem. So I moved to the front of the building to take a shower. I called to speak to a manager just to be sure I could park here and shower. The lady said oh your that guy we was going to have security remove you. Then she says if your coming in and taking a shower and leaving then ok. Lol ok. That 's how you speak to paying professional drivers. There is no signs how could I possibly know. After my shower this Hispanic lady employee, I simply said ma 'am I just want to show you I had already purchased this pilot cup and I was just getting ice. She turned her head and looked at me like I was the scum of the earth. The only employees with since was a younger Hispanic female working the register and the older white guy cleaning the shower. They really need to not treat people the way they do. Even when I came in yesterday they was short staffed. There was about ten customers in line. The security was on alert and I get that but yall hire these third party security for the stores protection and the are mean and rude and nasty just as the staff was. And he has a gun so imagine the atmosphere. It 's crazy yall allow this. It 's like this store has a hurry up and buy rule. Anyways I 'm going back to loves. This store has really did it for me.

I waited 2 hours to get a shower on 6/20/24 at 05:30. There were 6 showers that needed cleaning. It took 2 hours for someone to start cleaning. By this time, there were 17 people waiting for a shower. Finally, I got to a room and turned the water on hot, but it only got lukewarm and never got hot. The room was not cleaned very well. Pilot is now officially the worst truck stop in the country. I'm just glad I don't get here very often.

Use to be you were welcomed in with a greeting and smile. Now it's like they are all angry that drivers come in. Toilets are dirty, and coffee counter needs attention.Guess it's Loves or Walmart from now on. So sad this used to be the best back in the day.
