I have visited Nerja many times since 1987 and Pinocchio's twice before and other family members even more times. Friday 19/5 I visited and was extremely disappointed. After a wait we received our starters, this appeared to be because staff were preoccupied on putting tables together, to squeeze more people in as there was a change in the weather and it was pouring with rain. My sister was served her main course, while 2 of us waited while staff continued to squeeze in more customers! We were eventually, served as my sister was finishing her main! I was given a Lasagne that was almost disappearing it was so overdone! Then without asking if we wanted dessert or any other drinks, we were asked if we wanted the bill!!!! Obviously they wanted our table! There was a group dining in the garden who's experience turned into a nightmare as the rain fell and came through and off the canopy on to their table and food and little care was given to them! Not the experience I had expected sadly, will I go again No!
Wasn't sure about Pinocchio's as I'd heard some less complimentary stories, also the night I visited it was absolutely heaving. However, food was great, massive portions, tasty and we'll presented. Service not bad considering how busy they were, I'd definitely go again. We tried the calzone (enormous! And the anchovy pizza, both really good.
The food was good, and the service as well, but then some guy came round with a baseball cap, looked like he was trying to look like an American? He asked us how our meal was, he was young, perhaps the son of the owner, it seemed very out of place and put us off
A very nice place. Very good home flan, but tiramisu is not the best unfortunately. Someone forgot the coffee marinade in the cake. Still, it's really tasty and I recommend this place. I won't say anything about food because we didn't eat anything there.
