I had booked a table for 6 on 20/5 as we were in the area to celebrate my daughters graduation. We ran late for travel delays and had to postpone our booking by half an hour. That was not a problem for Mario and we came to a warm welcome. All employees were friendly, helpful and conscientious. The restaurant was very busy and had a nice atmosphere. One of our parties is Coeliac and this was managed with knowledge and care. We ate from the regular menu and the specialties and the whole food was freshly cooked and delicious. If we ever have a reason to be back in Oxford, we will return to Mario's. Very recommended on all levels.
A special thank you to Pizzeria Trattoria Mario for their care in making me gluten free pasta. It was incredibly delicious and totally gluten free. As someone with celiac, it can be nerve-racking eating out. I want to enjoy good food but I don't want to get sick! These guys know their stuff, take pride in their food and have a good sense of humour too. X
Excellent gluten-free pasta! The cook was very knowledgeable. It takes some time because they replace the pasta water, but it is totally worth it. There is no Gf Pizza, but if you are fishing for some pasta, this is the place! (Pictured gf fatty succinne, comes with mushrooms, ham and peas. Absolutely delicious!
Been to Italian restaurants throughout the UK and Europe, but this is really one of the best! Tonight for my sisters 21st, the food was amazing, the server was nice and we had a great time. I plan to come back with my Bf for a date night!
