Plockton Shores

Our group of 8 made a reservation at the restaurant. We had read the reviews and were really looking forward to eating there. Unfortunately, the next day a storm rolled in with heavy rain and wind gust up to 75 miles an hour. We hoped it would pass but had to make a last minute decision to cancel the reservation as it was not safe to drive. We were up a very curvy, single track road. There were also signs that the road could become flooded. We were very shocked to learn upon calling that we would be charged a cancellation fee of 40£ per person. We were told the policy is stated on the web page, which we missed. Given the circumstances of the weather that was out of our control we felt that the fee should have been waived. On top of that 40£ per person is a ridiculously high amount to charge for a cancellation!! I would dine at this restaurant as it put profits over the sagely of the customer.

Was soll ich sagen. Ein kleines Restaurant direkt im Hafen von Plockton. Ich war zum Abendservice hier. Das Personal super und sehr freundlich/ aufgeschlossen. Das Essen hausgemacht und super frisch, von der Suppe bis zu den Ravioli. Muscheln mochte ich sonst NIE! Diese hier waren sensationell. Zwei -3 pro Portion geräuchert, geben allem ein tollen Geschmack. Bier aus lokaler Herstellung oder der näheren Umgebung. Alles in allem ein absolut gelungenes Essen und ein toller Abend! Danke dafür, sehr gerne wieder !! Vegetarian options: Was ich hatte, war perfekt. Selbstgemacht Ravioli und Tomatensuppe. We were a party of 8 and made a reservation 24 hours before our dinner time. The next day the weather was dangerous with horrific rain and wind gusts up to 60 MPH. We decided it was unsafe to travel the 10 miles we had to go to get to Plockton. We called to cancel our reservation but regardless, the credit card we used to hold the reservation was charged £40 per person, or $397 for the party of 8. I would not recommend going to a restaurant that upholds a policy such as this.

Lovely little pit stop for tea, coffee and cake and service with a smile. The restaurant wasn't serving meals but the menu looked good. Fresh seafood and friendly staff. Fish and chips was a bit dry though.
