Polonia Club - Tisch reservieren

I have left a review at Google already but I really want to spread the words as I honestly think this place should be known by more people who love good food and a nice cozy atmosphere in Cambridge. We came here for a meal and we were not disappointed. In fact, this is probably the only restaurant in Cambridge that I would return to! We really wanted to have pork knuckles, we found this restaurant which does that and had really good reviews so we thought we would give it a go. We pre ordered the pork knuckle (need to preorder at least 24hrs in advance . We arrived at the place and the first impression was it is a very cosy and homey place. Nice and simple decoration, very comfortable atmosphere. We were greeted and seated immediately. They already know that we pre ordered the knuckle, we also ordered the salmon and spinach dumplings as we heard they were good. When the pork knuckle arrived, we were pleasantly surprised the portion was very generous and looked very tasty! Part of the knuckle skin was crispy (so crispy like what you can expect from a roasted suckling pig! and part of them was soft which is full of flavour and collagen! The meat inside was juicy and hot. It came with one side which we ordered the chips and we also have pickled cabbage which was home made, not overly sour and paired well with the knuckle! The sauces that came with it were mustard and horse radish. I don't usually like these sauces as they are normally too strong and all you can taste is sour, but these which looked home made were not overpowering so you can actually taste the freshness of the original raw ingredients, again they paired well with the pork knuckle. We also tried the salmon and spinach dumping and the texture was great and had a nice balance of ingredients within it. Nice balance of flavour. We wanted to try the desserts too but were too full! We saw the other table ordering them and they looked tasty and the portion was generous. We will give it a go next time : What we really like is that everything came piping hot, well cooked and nothing fancy pure good food. The staff were friendly, genuine and left you sufficient room to chat. Nice atmosphere for conversations. A jar of water was provided to us so we didn't have to constantly ask for it. Nothing to complain about really! Everyone should know about this place! We will return!

Enjoyed another happy family gathering at the Polonia Club. The generous portions of perfectly cooked, homely Polish food satisfied all the nationalities gathered at our table. In our experience their potato pancakes and mushroom soup are second to none. Other family favourites include the Polish sausage, smoked cheese, pierogi, bigos, goulash on potato pancakes, seabass and pork with cheese and mushrooms. If lucky you might visit on a day when they also offer delicious homemade plum or apple cake. With so many delicious options it can be difficult to choose! Manager Giuseppe Carata takes great care and when we planned to visit in a larger group we were happy to provide menu choices in advance so as to avoid disappointment. Despite the challenges everyone endured over the last two years, we have always found him and his staff very helpful and attentive. In a city like Cambridge where parking can be stressful, the opportunity to park at the rear is a much appreciated bonus. Already looking forward to returning and hopefully dining alfresco again amongst the flowers on the outdoor terraces as soon as weather permits.

Enjoy first visit to Polish Club : excellent service and food, drinks bar. Got window table, sunny day for lunch Saturday (open from 12 noon , relaxing friendly ambience. Free parking available behind house with outdoor tables front and back gardens. Good portions at reasonable prices, sharing plates ideal to try variety of traditional Polish dishes desserts, Polish craft beer.

Spent the night in a hotel just to have dinner in this wonderful restaurant. It was worth it1 Can't recommend it enough, The warm atmosphere generated by the staff is great, and the FOOD! Everything was delicious but will make myself try different options next time because I'm sure they will taste just as good.

Called in for Sunday lunch today! Lovely staff, good attentive service and the food!! Just reminded me of Mum;s cooking......really good Polish food!! Will return without doubt!!
