The Pope's Cafe is an eclectic jewel in Shelbyville city centre. The company is owned by the family and takes care of its city through its activities in the food industry. I bought breakfast sandwiches to go. They were delicious and made fresh to order. If I'm back in Shelbyville, this cafe will stop.
FYI they close at 2:30 pm on Saturday, not 3pm. Food was delicious! Excellent, juicy burger. I felt rushed and that our dining in at 2:10 pm was an imposition.
All that should be a good Southern Diner. Beautiful location on the town square. Great service. Delicious food. Appropriately expensive.
Great people, great meat and three. Casual atmosphere, relaxing. And did I mention GREAT FOOD? Desserts are homemade. Worth the detour!
