We have eaten here several times over the last few years and the food is consistently good. It’s a family run business, establish around 40 years ago, specialising in fish and seafood. We ordered clams, baby squid and tiny fried fish (which were excellent! to start. My husband then chose a fillet steak which was amazing in terms of quality and cooked to perfection. It was served with a delicious peppercorn sauce and potatoes. I ordered the turbot which was also beautifully cooked and plenty of it. We shared a desert and a good bottle of white wine, plus 2 beers, a glass of red wine, 2 coffees and 2 limoncellos on the house! The bill was €107 which represented great value for money as the quantity and quality of the food was excellent. We will return again.
Since this was my first visit to Lloret, I endeavoured to find a suitable paella which would fulfil my wish to try a proper variation on the famous Spanish dish. Since every place on the seafront serves this, the choice was difficult, but I am certain that the right choice was made. Nice, accessible atmosphere that fails to fall into the Western commercialisation trap but still feels incredibly comfortable and quaint. Staff were just as helpful as dessert was on my stomach, which sounds like a criticism, but it is very much complimentary, because dessert was lovely.
Don't take the grilled seafood platter!!! It was RAW, we showed it to the waiters and they wanted to put it on the grill again, bu5 after waiting a long time for the food we just paid and left. We were billed in full at the end, haven't even received an apology, felt like it was our fault the food was bad. The food in general didn't look very fresh. Be careful and check the food.
Very nice service!! And the paella was very good. I have tried paella before but my boyfriend had not. The receptionist at the hotel recommended this restaurant.
