My wife and I went here during a recent trip to Nyack. The service was excellent and attentive. For the appetizer we had black and blue wings (star of the show) and we had the fried calamari. The calamari was decent, however it was a little overly greasy. For dinner we split the French dip sandwhich with French fries. The fries were seasoned excellently and the gravy was very good, however the sandwich was a little lacking in the meat department. Overall, a fun place for some better-than-average bar food. Great decor and atmosphere.
This is the second time I come to this restaurant. The first time was a year ago and the food did not disappoint both times. ! I always have the burger and the fries are perfectly cooked. The staff are friendly and the beers on tap are delicious. I forgot what I had but my waitress suggested something similar to Blue Moon and it was really good. I will definitely go back if I am in the area. If you are reading the reviews and wondering if you should come here, this is your sign! !
Average location best with nothing special to deal with it. Calls in our order so we can get food before the kitchen closed. When we came there, they were confused by this idea and we had to reorder our food. Beverages were ok, but the bartender was dismissed and had concentrated his attention to a certain group most of the night. Place was not very busy for a Friday night, so maybe we should have been more attentive. Parking is either on the street or a lot of blocks away.
Food was really good- have the prime rib empanadas for sure! We can't stop talking about them. The ketchup was surprisingly delicious (I usually hate ketchup), and housemade pickles were yummy too. The inside looks like it was originally a historic building, and they've done a nice job with making it feel hip but homey. It was a pretty crowded night for outdoor dining, and we had the inside mostly to ourselves on a Saturday night. Lovely place for a date night!
