The very best Afternoon Tea I have ever experienced and would highly recommend. The ambience, the amazing food and the musical composition made the whole experience a once in a lifetime experience. As a vegan, it seems difficult for most places to cater for me, especially when it comes to Afternoon Tea, which is one of my favourite treats! However, the Pump Room far exceeded my expectations, the infusion of flavours in the savory dishes was incredible and the vegan scones were light and fluffy! I actually couldn't finish the cakes, but they were mouth watering. My compliments to the Chef; I will definitely be returning : The musicians were very talented and they completed the entire experience, especially when they played Happy Birthday, and I don't usually like the limelight, but they were incredible. I would highly recommend for a special occasion or even to treat yourself. It was definitely the highlight of my trip. Finally, I would like to say a huge thank you to James and Liberty for your exemplary service! Thank you so much for making sure my special day was perfect!
Afternoon tea at the Pump Room in Bath. Avoid!! Wait in a queue in a hallway all cramped up for 15/20 minutes. Takes 40 minutes to get served anything. Get served non vegetarian food to a vegetarian. Get served stale sandwiches. And to boot ask for another £25 tip at the end. £50 a head what a rip off. Underwhelming and truly disappointing. Only thing that can be said is that they must have made a lot of profit Merry Christmas to the Pump Room. Catering is from outside as well which could be why it’s all stale. Thankfully as a family we were able to laugh at the awfulness of the experience. Humour got us through it spend your hard earned cash elsewhere,
So after you finish wandering through the Roman Bath, you can opt to wander into the pump room.
