Pumpkin - Tisch reservieren

We eat 3 meals here in 2 days. A French speaking owner running an Italian Restaurant at a hotel in the German part of Switzerland . The butterfly shrimp were outstanding, cooked to perfection with subtle oil garlic sauce. Caprese was very good knowing the tomatoes were not in season. Chef likes to go heavy on the Balsamic in the dressing. Veal scallopine was in lemon butter sauce with cream risotto. The risotto melted in my mouth, simple but satisfying. Very well prepared but the shrimp still won out. Pasta for lunch the one day was perfectly cooked with a light chicken in oil coating. Wine choices were OK (Spanish and Portugal??). Very friendly owner who spoke French but no English. Front desk folks do speak English. .

I had the shrimp again and it was very good, as it was last time. Another meal I had the pasta carbonara which was creamy and mildly flavored, the panchetta just coming through. The salad was heavy in balsamic dressing, good thing I like balsamic....My dining partners said their dinners were well prepared and enjoyable. Dessert Pannacotta was good and presentation was outstanding. Wines are from Spain and Portugal and basic table wines. I prefer France and northern Italy for my basic dinner wines

This restaurant is Italian but the menu is not very creative. They've tried to be modern, but frankly we found it cold and quite bleak. An uninspiring menu with expensive pizzas and otherwise spaghetti. Very expensive meat of minor interest. That, couple with the row...from the kitchen, while the visible cook dried up cutlery and threw it into a container/drawer. I can only hope they make more effort with breakfast for their hotel guests. Too expensive for what it was

Since September there is a new Indian patron in the Pumpkin. The food is really tastey and authentic. The menu is very extensive something for everyone. It is not readily visible as a restaurant from the outside because it's inside a hotel....We were delighted with our meal and the fast and friendly service. I wish them all the luck for a bright future and an enrichment in the cullinery world of Fehraltorf
