Beware! Wetherspoons are misleading customers as to what is a substantial meal under the new rules. Their menus are apparently out of date- I 've been charged for chips that I didn 't want solely to qualify as a substantial meal but there 's no warning of this. Their MD has been vocal is calling for the government to go easier on pubs- but his own chain can 't get it right. Not good enough for a large organisation.
Fry up before Christmas shopping track trace, one way system, usual covid safe rules. Lovely breakfast, cooked well, refillable hot drinks, typical “spoons” breakfast, you know what you’re getting! Toilets very clean. No complaints.
Told that the law is that we can only have three drinks in total- one before the meal, one during the meal and one after the meal and can stay only two hours. This is not the law but is set by some over zealous manager. AVOID!!!!
Ordered three pints of Ruddles one came after 10 mins, another after 40 mins and the last after 50 mins. Won't be returning..................
