Queen's Head Hotel

I eat at The Queens Head Hotel a few times a year and to this stage I haven't had a bad meal yet - they just seem to get everything right. This time around I had a snitzel with chips & salad plus I wanted some vegetable so I had some for an extra $2 I think it was. Nice to see that there is a place that don't charge $7-8 for extra vegetables. What happened to pubs when you were able to chose between salad or vegetable with your snitzel :) Serviced at Queens Head is also very good and the locations in great.Thank you to all for serving great food with nice service plus prices are very reasonable ! A small thing though - I found the cigarette smoke for the outside area on the north side seem to find its way into the pub.

We were part of an office re-union that included 22 people and the service coped well with the numbers. Pay wave worked well to allow quick payment of drinks with tabs or big rounds. The Queens Head has a decent array of draft beers, including a couple of craft brews. They also had a sparkling Pinot (Bird in the Hand) from the Adelaide Hills which was excellent and better than normal pub fare. The outdoor area coped well with unseasonable weather. The pizzas were genuine wood wired and we could see their production in the courtyard.

We are locals and regulars here - for very good reason. The hotel decor is eclectic but crisp, the front veranda great if you can catch the sun, the rear courtyard a great space. The food is consistently good with a great bar menu and fantastic crispy base wood oven pizzas for a quick visit or more traditional dining room meals. The excellent wine list is full of well priced wine eg Penfolds St Henri. Staff are always on song - we highly recommend.

I have a great experience every time I frequent the Queen's Head. Today a friend & I visited for lunch. We shared the Chicken San Chow Bow & the Barossa Meats Pizza. The San Chow Bow was served as a salad with shredded lettuce instead of the traditional lettuce cups; it still had lovely flavours & a nice kick of chilli. The pizza, as always, was spot on. Soft, yet crispy crust and ample flavoursome toppings. I'm looking forward to my next visit.

Passing by and was recommended the hotel after a business meeting and catching up with a friend. The hotel is a best kept secret and deserves support. Great staff who were very accomodating. Good menu, beers and wine selection to ensure an overall good experience by those who enter the premises for either a quick drink or a meal . Great overall ambience and worth a visit.
