Indoor/Outdoor restaurant right next to Parque de los Novios and Calle 19 the center of nightlife and pedestrian life in the old colonial downtown of Santa Marta. Great place to sit outside for people watching. In daytime heat, you can go inside with air conditioning (but not too cold). This restaurant was the first in Colombia to feature the Beyond Burger, starting at the end of December 2019 and I one of the first to enjoy it there. At COP39,000 pesos (maybe US $11 to $12 depending upon exchange rate), it was close to North American prices, but if you've missed that kind of veggie burger taste while in Colombia, its a great opportunity to splurge (most veggie burgers in restaurants in Colombia are lentil based, so something non lentil based is a welcome change). Had the desire for a vegan burger. The Portabello Burger (22cop) without cheese or onion. Fritten added that cost extra (5 cops). Tasteful, but not super burgers, since the **** are all slit, more like a mushroom roll and it was quite simple without cheese or onion. Ends up get the beyond burgers as well as (against no onion or cheese), $42 cop. I love the beyond Burger taste but again very small and simple, had half a salad leaf, a slice of tomatoes and not much sauce. Although on the small and simple side both were delicious and was really nice to find some vegan comfort food in Santa Marta. The staff was nice and understood what vegan is. You have 3 burgers that can be vegan if you do not ask cheese and specify vegan.
I had read the reviews for this restaurant and was looking forward to a nice lunch, but they did not have the Beyond Burger available (can call for the interested? . I ordered the Portabello-Burger, which was essentially cut mushrooms on a Burger-Burg with the usual additions. But the Lemonade Maracuya was delicious. Fresh!
