Railway Hotel South Melbourne

We went here on a bustling Friday night and only just got a table, so first recommendation is make a booking as it's really busy.We ordered the special brisket and a beef chilli bowl. Staff were very friendly and attentive. Our meals came in reasonable time, the brisket came with slaw and sweet potato chips but the meat itself was way over cooked very crunchy on the outside and pretty dry, certainly not worth the $32 price tag, the chilli on the other hand was flavoursome and very good though just a bit small for $22. We'll come back another time and try them again as the atmosphere is great with the wood fires and the pool tables. Great old style pub.
