Raschhofer's Rossbrau Herrnau

Once a week my boyfriend and I visit this Restaurant for either lunch or dinner. The food is pretty good and so is the atmosphere; A nice rustic restaurant with seating possibilities inside and outside. Usually we eat one of the Burgers or a salad with goat cheese. The daily specials starting at 6 pm are also a very nice feature. The only thing that has been a bad experience at each of our visits was the service. It usually takes several moments until a waiter finally comes over to take the drinking orders. Sometimes it even happens that one is simply ignored because the waiters don't wish to take orders at one of the tables a collegue of their's is responsible for. Even just to order, one can wait up to 10 minutes if one doesn't draw the waiter's attention. Also it seems that the waiters have problems communicating with each other. After taking orders, most of the time a second waiter comes and wishes to take the exact same orders. This becomes quite annoying. The waiters also always seem to be so unmotivated to do things … As a guest I don't like it when it becomes my problem if people are unsatisfied with their jobs. The service really kills the relaxing atmosphere there and after eating up one's wish is to get going. Fast.

Ob für ein schnelles Mittagessen oder einen gemütlichen Abend mit Freunden ist man Beim Raschofer gut aufgehoben.Sie brauen ihre eigenen Biere - es gibt auch immer wieder Spezial Biere. Natürlich sind auch die Live Übertragungen immer wieder ein Anlaufpunkt für viele Leute. Die Qualität der Gerichte kann mit dem Küchenpersonal schwanken.

Das Essen war nicht furchtbar aber auch wirklich nicht gut. Die Ripperl waren sehr fettig, die Spätzle waren versalzen und selbst das Bier, das so angepriesen wird, war warm und abgestanden. Sehr schade... wir hatten uns schon sehr gefreut:/ aber die Bedienung an der Bar war nett:)

I ordered Jimmy burger, and it tasted gorgeously. I flushed it up with a Witbeer and I felt good for the rest of the evening. Nice terrace, nice ambient, very easy going staff. Only thing I did not like was, that we had to order at the bar. It is just not cool.

Positive surprise in Salzburg Whilst this place is fairly off the beaten paths it's worth a visit. Austrian dishes in solid quality for a great price. Broad choice of drinks. Helpful staff. Definitely a recommendation
