I've driven by this place so many time even after i was so excited they opened years and years ago. Finally this was the day i had some time to spare so i made a u turn and finally visited. My initial thought was getting the coconut cream pie that this prego belly has been craving but i didn't want to be disappointed so after starring at what they had i settled for a crusty lusty (at least i think that's what it was called with their vanilla. Hubby got the chocolate cream pie and we shared a Arnold Palmer. My pie didn't make it 5 mins out the parking lot, the crust on flaky and sweet but not too sweet. The filling still had great texture and the vanilla set it over the top perfect. My one gripe about the pie is i should have requested for it to be warm. I'm not sure if they do that but warm fruit pie with cold creamy vanilla is always a pair for me. The Arnold Palmer........ this is the best I've had. I should have ordered my own instead of sharing. It's refreshing with a hint to cucumber flavor. We waited to have the chocolate cream and i felt it wa so retry average, however I'm not a big chocolate pie lover. He liked it so it's a win. We will be back for that coconut cream. And another Arnold! I do wish they had a small seating area to enjoy these pies. I initially thought i was going to get a pie slice and sit to enjoy while getting a glimpse of other offerings they had. But it's ok The service was very welcoming and patient. There is no rush to order and they are happy to answer questions.
Whenever I bring a pie from The Real Pie Comes to an event, everyone wants to know where it came from. I’m so happy we have such a delicious pie baker in Sacramento! I can’t just recommend one pie—they are all delicious. I do hope they have the lemon buttermilk pie once the season is in. Service: Take out
Worth every penny, only bummer not open all the time. I hope this place is here to stay for the long haul. I don't know why it is only 4.5 deserves 5 stars. I have been many times and have not had a bad pie and the employees are friendly and your supporting small business in the community.
