Enjoyed a nice plat for 11 euro at this hotel en route to Bergerac.Pleasant outdoor terrace and was encouraged as always to see locals and workmen having lunch. Very tasty chicken fricassee served with cheese topped pasta and sauté courgettes.Followed by a Cafe Gourmand, shot of expresso and 3 mini desserts. Delightful and just enough food to satisfy the appetite without wanting to go and lie down as so often happens after a big lunch.Good service from staff mad our brief stopover most enjoyable
We stopped based on TripAdvisor reviews and didn't regret the find. Good local food, I had wild hare she had rumsteak and both were delicious. The blend of sauce and meat in both dishes was perfect. Also, wines of that region, Malbec as far as I know, are delicious, relatively cheap and go perfectly with the local fare. It was fun to eat with the locals who clearly flock to this place for a great lunch break.
Situated at the base of this fine small bastide town. This hotel /restaurant provide a very good value lunch. Very attentive staff. A very good starter buffet with a good choice of tasters and the plat pricipale(main course ) is always delicious.Its always full by 12:30 and I understand why.Very pleasant terrace. We have stayed and eaten here several times in the last few months while house hunting in the area and have never been disappointed. The lunch is excellent value and the restaurant is always busy. Cooking style is traditional French with charming and enthusiastic service. Very good value.
