We have been coming here for six years and have always enjoyed our meal, surroundings and the staff. We are Americans and speak very little French but have always been welcome, even without a reservation. Food is varied and a good price, 29 euros for three courses. Nice, fair, varied wine list. They have a wonderful location in a charming village. We will continue to return here whenever we can.
Despite good food, a nice setting and friendly staff the maître D / boss women was exceptionally rude and extremely unpleasant. Clearly has no time for any non French speaking English people (or "American"). As previous writer recommends if you're English speaking head closer to Orleans where you might just be welcome opposed to milked for your cash.
Ate outside on the waterfront with my husband, parents and in-laws... felt slightly apprehensive after seeing the other reviews, as we are a mixture of nationlities. Found the staff charming and pleasant... the waiter had a good sense of humour! Food was lovely? We all thoroughly enjoyed our meals, would recommend it!
The staff can't speak any other language but French,not even they try to understand guests☹️They do not really want to serve people.
