Restaurant du Cercle

As it's only open for dinner on Saturdays kept missing it and wondering how they could make it work. It obviously caters for the lunchtime workers in the village and parents with young kids during mornings and lunch times. Saturday it becomes a social hub with a bar and really respectable food. Proper French cooking using local ingredients, good to huge quantities, traditional dishes with modern touches. Loved the pumpkin soup with quenelles of St Jacques (scallops), and côtes de veau (veal) with mushroom sauce. Good friendly service, reasonably priced. Is it worth a detour to? Possibly not, but if you're in the area and until we find something in Orange worth detouring for, we'll definitely be coming back. For lighter, fusion dishes, try Bistrot 23 in Courthézon. For sound French cooking in a neighbourhood restaurant, come to Le Cercle.

Great, simple food done well, perfect! Very local, great prices, good service, ticks all the boxes. Stopped in for lunch on our way home and so, so glad we did. Go if you are in the area, well worth it.

Local spot that went out of their way to make sure we had a good expireance. The food was great and when none of the waitstaff spoke English, the chef came to our table and helped us with the menu!!

This is a pleasant little restaurant, clearly much-favoured by the locals, without pretensions or concessions to tourism. Simple, casual food, simply prepared, & charming service.

Called in for lunch after cycling from Sarrians along the old railway which is now a cycle track.Excellent 3 course menu du jour at 13 Euros. Would definitely go again.
