Restaurant Edelweiss

Me and a friend had a dinner here - the food was excellent, the place has a nice decor and great atmosphere, with a couple of musicians playing live music. I had the dried meats for starters - a nice collection of various cured meats. For the main course I had the beef fondue, a unique dish and the meat was of high quality, with various sauces which were also good. My friend had the salmon, a good dish as well. We shared the mocca parfait and the apfelstrudel for deserts, both very good. I would definitely recommend this restaurant, while not cheap the food is of excellent quality.

Lucky that the restaurant is very near our hotel.If you'd like a taste of many guilty Swiss pleasures at one go, this is where you should go.We had the Raclette, Fondue Edelweiss (Gruyere and Vacherin) and Boeuf Bourginonne. All delicious although perhaps next time we shall opt for a no-alcohol cheese fondue--it was a bit strong for me.To end the meal, having tasted it in Gruyère the previous day, we could not resist having again the meringue with double cream.A bit pricey by Asian standards of great food, but then again what isn't in Switzerland :)

The name of the restaurant itself rekindles memories of Switzerland. The decor is a good replica of a chalet in the Swiss alps. The live band with traditional Swiss musical instruments rendered wonderful music as an integral part of the Swiss experience. We had both the cheese and beef fondue which we enjoyed. The waiting staff spoked good English and were friendly with prompt service. Prices were a bit higher than comparable restaurants. Overall, an unforgettable experience and highly recommended.

Great atmosphere, music perhaps a little loud though, but fun decor. Cheese fondue very rich, but the beef fondue was lovely as was the strudel.

Such a cute restaurant, felt like a Swiss cellar. Nighttime entertainment with dinner and lovely breakfast
