We have eaten here many times before, have always enjoyed our meals, I have even praised the restaurant on this website but this last visit was very dissapointing. We were a large group and 4 of us chose the Moules Paella, when it arrived my first impression was 3 Moules seemed a little mean, however things got worst when I found that the Moules had virtually no meat in them, at what was there was not giving up there clinging to the shell, I brought this to the attention of Fiejette, her reply was very short, and told me that their was nothing she could do about this but offered me more of the same, and left it at that, the restaurant was very busy so I decided she was very stressed, so I emailed her the next day to reinterate my complaint. Her reply beggars belief, apparently they knew the Moules were rubbish, they had not come from their normal supplier, so they took a chance on serving them, Whilst I apply her honestly, I cannot condone their taking a chance on serving them, what they should have done is taken Moules Paella off the menu, what were they thinking in serving dubious food, do they not care about their reputation or what their customers eat. Now once my complaint was made they had a chance to salvage something, After all a restaurants reputation is only as good as the last food they supply. What they did offer was 3 free desserts, So I ask you who are reading this is would that have sufficed for you?. I still cannot believe that they served a dish which in their own opinion was not acceptable but they were prepared to take a risk. Your choice now as to whether you go or give this place a miss.
This amazingly decorated getaway in Creset is worth the detour. Friendly staff/owner makes you feel right at home without being intrusive. The menu was diverse and very(!) tasteful. Wines are local and well picked. We took our 1,5 year old son with us today. We was very sweet and quiet (which is not always the case), but even if he wouldn't have been .. at La Fleur Bleue kids are welcome. They brought out crayons and toys. A real rarity around here. All in all a very nice place we would love to visit again. Oh yeah: it's quit romantic too.
This restaurant came recommended to us by the owner of our B&B. We went for dinner and absolutely loved the rustic yet charming ambiance and the fireplace was a nice touch too! We really enjoyed the food (I had a rabbit dish and my boyfriend a steak). The service was excellent and I noticed that there were many locals dining there. I would go back!
This rural Gite 4 km from Cabrerets is a gem, rustic accomodation and a simple appatising evening meal served in a truely lovely garden setting. Excellent value for money. Mathieu is a wonderful bilingual host.
