Restaurant Holder

We visited this restaurant based on hotel recommendation for good French food dining. It is about 10-minute walk from our hotel. We arrived after 8PM and were able to be seated right away. We ordered four entrees and two were grilled tilapia, one mushroom pasta with pine nut and beacon. Mine is the duck breast special and everyone found it extremely tender and tasty. The pasta was also fine; however my wife found her grilled fish a little dry for her taste. As far as grilled fish is concerned. I found their preparation just fine.After dinner service, we ordered a couple of desserts to share. The creme brulee was rich as expected; and the caramel dessert had sweet and salty flavor well balanced.The service was friendly and everyone enjoyed our dinner there.

My daughter and I had the french onion soup and shared a salad and the fish special. The fish was excellent...it must have been the dried tomatoes and seasonings on top. The waiters were all very helpful when we tried to make ourselves understood in French. They switched to English when we needed the help. It's a special restaurant. Go with your friends and family.

My family enjoyed a wonderful meal here. We were seated by a window which is great with the kids and the got fish and chips and I enjoyed the beef bourguignon. Nice place but probably not the best for kids

My colleagues and I had a wonderful meal at Restaurant Holder. Everyone enjoyed all of their many dishes including a variety of wonderful desserts. This was a highlight of our visit to Old Montreal.

a very good address, lots of choice, refined, good value for money, very pleasant staff. suitable for meals between friends, business meals. to redo :)
