We were fortunate to be able to eat outdoors on a warm evening, so had the atmosphere of the attractive Market Square in Feldkirch.The service was polite and gentle, even gracious, which made a very pleasant change from the rushed and "efficient" service often found in restaurants in tourist towns. The food was typical Austrian, not especially adventurous but well cooked and presented.We were entirely content with our restaurant choice.
We were recommended this restaurant by the hotel we are staying with. We ordered starters - beautiful and fresh smoked salmon and salad and tomato with mozzarella very tasty but the size of mains! Main course had lots of potato dumplings and very filling. We drank the Austrian wine and beer and very happy with these choices. Staff were efficient and attentive, a little pricey.
Excellent restaurant in the Old Town market square with indoor and outdoor seating. Serves meat, fish and vegetarian dishes. Try to get there before midday on Saturday when there is the local market if you want to have an outdoor table. Great ambience.
