Restaurant Le Normand

Had a wonderful road trip today from Versailles to see the Chateau in Rambouillet. Driving through the wonderful Valley of Chevreuse, we stopped for lunch at Le Normand for an extraordinary meal. Shared the escargots for the entree, for our mains we had the Coquilles St. Jacques and the Duck with a Beurre Blanc. Both mains were served with five vegetables artfully arranged on the square platter. Some sides were in small tart pans, others in lidded jars. The effect was both tasty and enchanting.

Excellent restaurant on the occasion of a walk in the chevreuse valley. The staff is friendly and the dishes are succulent (special lion to the pig's chest! . Prices are very reasonable. We have enjoyed ourselves
