This was my choice for my birthday meal further to a little look about the area during our holiday to France. Turned out to be a great choice and we were looked after really well by friendly staff and as requested the day before, we were given a lake side table which was gorgeous. We are not meat eaters but found the food tasty and well prepared. My attempts to speak French were warmly received and the strawberry tart for dessert was a joy. The fact that a little sparkler was brought out for me as I had mentioned previously that it was my birthday was a nice touch and appreciated. This was every bit as special a venue as we hoped it would be and I would have no hesitation in recommending if you are fortunate enough to find yourself in this special part of France.
except for the terrasse, not much to praise here . Especially not the waitress who had a very unpleasant attitude , to the extent I had to intervene for her to stop treating us like a nuisance. The fish is tasteless but pricey. I believe it's the same tourist menu which is served for ever. (dishes pictures from 2015 look exactly like what we got) The only nice comment I could leave is about the desserts. period.
Had a surprise birthday lunch for my Dad here alongside the lake in a beautiful location. The waiter was rushed at first and we had to wait for service, but as the restaurant emptied things returned to agreeable service. The food was excellent and the steak well cooked. The fera was delicious and a first try of the local speciality from Lac d'Annecy. A memorable lunch and an unhurried one!
The Auberge du Roselet has a good a la carte restaurant in the garden. The tables are set by the green water of the Annecy lake, with a fantastic view to the lake and the mountains. Walk 10m on the peer, and you have the very best view to the Château de Duingt, too. Very few tables outside. They have fish from the lake as well as other things on the menu. Bon appétit!
