Restaurant Pizzeria Le Valbonnais

Don't be put off by the slightly basic appearance or exuberant locals waiting for takeaways. The pizzas are great - the best I've had since Rome - and the staff are helpful and friendly. Especially good as 2 of us are vegetarian and eating in some of the other restaurants in Valbonne was difficult.

I grew up in valbonne and visit regularly. Frank has done a great job maintaining standards of the valbonnais. Recommend the namesake pizza. Great atmosphere (don't be put off by the green placemats) of locals blending with visitors. Even the house red was perfectly quaffable.

Frank and his father Christian have kept the highest standards - both as a pizza restaurant but try the meat! look for Pizza of the week - we had prosciutto and rocket - superb!

Went here on our first night. It was ok, good basic food but a little expensive. Service was slow unless you were local and not overly cheap. Average food, average service.

Oh what I wouldn't give for a wood-fire pizza at Le Valbonnais right about now! They make the most amazing eggplant pizzas here.
