There are several restaurants up here (when you're either doing winter sports or come for a hike in summer). Some have quite silly prices, but this one here has really reasonable prices. Not only that, the food itself is worth a visit as well.Inside it is on the smaller side. And that's a good thing. Really feels warm, cosy and welcoming. A bit like in the living room of an old swiss house.There are some of the usual items on the menu (Schnitzel, Cordon-Bleu, Steak....). But also some more interesting choices. I went for the "Aelpler-Roesti". It's simple, but delicious. It's a whole plate of Rösti, then some ham, topped with melted cheese ... and an egg on top (sunny-side up). It's heavy, it's filling....it's good! Especially in winter really the kind of meal you need (you might need a quick nap after it). A really good choice and for 20.- a real steal.Service was very friendly and never rushing / pushy. It's not the closest to the funicular station and in winter that means you have to get through the snow for a few minutes. Das Posthuis bietet seit Jahren konstant sehr leckeres, gutbürgerliches Essen an. Auch während der Jagdsaison ist es einen Besuch wert! Das Restaurant selber ist gemütlich und besitzt einen gewissen Charme. Sie werden sich rundum wohl fühlen.
Ideal mit Kindern, das Essen ist einfach und lecker - und wir wurden auch sehr schnell bedient. Das Restaurant wurde um einen neuen Bereich mit viel Holz ganz hinten erweitern, empfehlenswert!
Gut bürgerliche Küche auf einem sehr hohen Niveau. Exzellente Fleischküche, aber auch alles andere ist empfehlenswert
