Restaurant Sokace

We visited the restaurant on our last night in Vienna. Tired of eating schnitzels and potato salads, we decided to go for something different and chose this place. From the moment we walked in, our opinion of the place was not good. First of all, the non-smoking section was very cold. As it was only about 8-10C outside, we were hoping to warm up. However, as it was so cold inside, we ended up sitting with our jackets on. There was a live music concert in the smoking part. However, nothing for the non-smokers. The service itself was poor. No help with choosing the dishes, no recommendations... we ended up ordering a medium mixed grill platter with some pita bread and a side salad. We also ordered some beers. Drinks that arrived were not chilled and were served with hot glasses ( straight from the dishwasher). Then, the warm pita and salad arrived. Salad consisted of tomatoes, cucumber and some cabbage. By the time the meat arrived 20 mins later, the pita was stone cold. Meat platter itself wasn't the best. It consisted of lamb kofta, chicken, 1 sausage and some pork. We found everything very fatty, lacking in flavour and generally not very tasty. We didn't finish our meals and decided to leave. We would definitely not recommend this place to anyone.

I went to Sokace for lunch before visiting the palace, and I was impressed with their fantastic lunch buffet. It was a great deal, and there was a big variety of meats, along with soup and vegetables. Additionally, the waitstaff was very friendly.

Fenomenal comida casera serbia. Buffet libre por 7,90€, calidad, cantidad, personal agradable, a un paso de Schönbrun. Muy recomendable!

Spécialités turques et grillades très abordables. Les viandes et légumes sont excellents. Idéal pour les petits budgets et familles.

Informal place with great food at affordable price for wien... Not fancy but very cozy... A place to repeat without a doubt
