Restaurant Zur Werkstatt AG

Our dinner at Zur Werkstatt was one of the highlights of our short stay in Luzern, and the restaurant deserves all the excellent reviews it has. Ok, you only get a choice of meat or vegetarian menus, but what makes it special is the quality...of the food and the genuinely original dining experience. We loved the ‘toolbox’ with its appetiser and accompaniments (seasonings, nuts, tealight etc and our waitress was kind and attentive. The starter was a do-it-yourself salad (what a great idea) and we had the fillet steak as our main. It was delicious and melt-in-the mouth tender. We hadn’t planned on a dessert, but ended up choosing the ‘Orange Variation’ as it looked so appealing. It too, was delicious. Thoroughly recommend this restaurant for the quality of its food and its novel take on the dining experience

August For coronavirus: there were quite a lot of tables outside on the pavement. The tables inside were well separated. You could get to your table without going through a crowd of people. The restaurant gave sanitiser to each table. Coronavirus rating wife said this was one of the best meals of her life. The mix it yourself salad was excellent with a great dressing. The rib of veal just melted in your mouth, the lime hollandaise was a great accompaniment, the vegetables were perfectly cooked. My wine by the glass, Torremilanos Crianza Ribera del Duero Tempranillo was excellent. Altogether a very memorable evening. Cost for courses for two people with wine by the glass CHF including tip

We found this restaurant because a local tipped us. Its located nearby CS/HBF . The welcome was warm and they explained their formula, not so many choises, but only one menu. The host was friendly and tried tot give us the best experience. This restaurant...is definately no standard touristtrap. Super ingrediënts, prepared in open kitchen. Payed for two courses and few glasses wine, Chf. Highly reccommanded of you prefer quality gastronomy

The fixed menu concept was well explained to us and we went ahead. It was an inspired choice, the food goes together so well, and we had a really good time. Certainly worth the money. Great service, food and experience

We liked the concept of the restaurant. One menu (starter, main course and desert), very fresh and seasonal ingredients. Friendly service and very good coffee
