Retreat Gastropub

I had previously heard about this restaurant and decided to make an attempt with a friend who was visited in the city. We went for Happy Hour and they had a variety of options for their menu. We tried the Risotto balls and they ordered the Mac and cheese. I'm always very skeptical when I see white Mac and cheese, but this was the next level. It was almost seasoned for perfection. Hands on one of the best Mac I've ever had. It could be almost a meal in itself. The Risotto balls were also really good, definitely had a kick on it, so I would recommend both options. We also came to dinner, and I had the braided pork gnocchi. I love a good gnocchi and this one didn't disappoint at all. The only thing was a bit too salty for me. I could taste the salt almost immediately, but apart from the fact that the Ragú and Gnocchi were mixed really well. Almost hard as no sense. Our service was really nice and offered us great suggestions from the menu. The restaurant is very picturesque, not very huge, but I want to come back here.

We visited this restaurant on Saturday evening before an event in the Stifel. A reservation about Resy was super easy. The staff was very attentive. It is a relaxed atmosphere where some people were dressed, others were dressed. The farmhouse Burger chicken sandwiches were delicious. The Risotto balls were phenomenal. I wanted five more! The sauces that accompany them were so tasteful. My husband had the side of the Pommes and I had a kale Caesar side. The salad was delicious, the frits were good. We both didn't care about the homemade ketchup, but it didn't affect our entire meal. To dessert we had the bread pudding. It took a while to come, but it was worth more than waiting. It was the best bread pudding we ever had.

I was looking for something new and different. This place more than met my expectations as my experience was delightful and delicious. I order the beet salad and shrimp tacos and both were amazing! I actually like beets but was very skeptical of how it would taste. So glad I tried it as I finish I thought about ordering a salad to go just to have one for the next day. The shrimp tacos were the best I ever tasted- need I saw more. The service was nice and the feel of the restaurant was just a chill vibe. I was able to enjoy a book while having dinner. The fries were okay, fried too hard for my taste but I will definitely be back for beet salad and the shrimp tacos. I highly recommend dinner as you will thank me later.

Went for Happy Hour and experienced great food, service and atmosphere! The waitress was well informed about the drinks menu, making sure that I ended up with two drinks I really liked. I will definitely add this point to my happy hour rotation! Vegetarian options: Many great vegetarian options on the Happy Hour menu!

Everything we had was great! The farmhouse Burger, Brussel sprouts and the salmon. Very busy on a Sunday night. Fun atmosphere and friendly service. Food: 5/5
