we came here for eating and drinking since we haven't been here for three years. eating was really amazing here, but we were really disappointed this time. we were served by josh and he was absolutely amazing. cocktails were also super good quality, but tapas were very bad. we had a couple of jerk-- it was very hard and tasteless, either from frozen or precooked too often, patatas bravas undercooked and no taste, cauliflower tacos no taste and bad design, would be more beautiful roasted cauliflower with some amazing sauces aromen, pulled bark tacos strange taste, had pulled much better bark before squid rings were in order and queensadillas were not too bad, could have had more taste. we will not come back for food, but would reappear for some cocktails as they are never disappointed!
This is a great venue with a good atmosphere, live music etc. But the service for our bottomless brunch was so painfully slow that it spoilt what could have been a great experience. No welcome drinks and nachos on arrival as promised on the menu. Drink and food orders took forever to arrive. The whole point of bottomless brunch is quick service, drinks replaced straight away so people feel they’ve got good value for money. The waitresses were working hard but there was nowhere near enough of them. Food was fine but arrived cold. We complained and got a sizeable chunk taken off our bill but this could be very easily rectified by putting more staff on. Obviously it’s going to be busy on a Saturday with walk ins and bookings so plan accordingly to avoid disappointing people.
been to revolucion de cuba a couple times and were always happy with everything. this is the reason we decided to try the sheffield. when we arrived, it was very quiet but slightly disappointed, as the service here was very slow. the service in leeds was on point, but this was not. we had to ask for a drink, and when it came to eat, we had to ask 3 different servers for kondimente. the drinks, as always good, have tasted the alcohol in them. I feel that revolucion is an excellent value for money and will definitely return, but perhaps not to the sheffield one.
Family gathering on Sunday 13th August lunchtime. Lots of tapas and drinks ordered and all were very good in what is a very social atmosphere with a good crowd of people eating, cocktail classes etc. There appeared to be 1 waitress covering far too many tables, how she manged to get every food item delivered and every drink correctly delivered with little waiting time I have no idea! The fact that she remained incredibly pleasant as well was a miracle, hope she is well paid!!! Last reviewed in 2014 and just as good a visit as that time
